OPENING DAY AT SHORTCREEK
Once again it is time for us to come together as a water family and begin the boating season. Plan on April 6th 2019 being the day. This year we will have a Maritime Swap Meet in the clubhouse. Please bring items that have gathered over the years that you would like to part with. We all have a collection of Fenders, Anchors, Lines, Radios etc. that are too good to throw out but that we just aren’t using. We will have a picnic at Gossip Hall before we make our way out to Short Creek. The raft will begin to build around 1:30pm with Arron Bradley atop of the “ ICANGO “ playing his heart out on his guitar for us. We will bless the fleet, make some offerings and have our Commodore grace us with a few words. Sharing food and drink during the flotilla will be the plan for the afternoon with a break-up scheduled for 5:30 ish. As always there are several variables, the biggest being weather, the second being the time- line and the third being some yachtsmen wanting to stay out overnight. Can’t do anything about the first, second- we aren’t in the Army, Navy or Air Force any more…. Go with the flow and 3rd overnighting is encouraged!!!! $10.00 per person will get you a picnic lunch at Gossip Hall and Music from Arron during our afternoon of fun. Please bring appetizers and beverages for the afternoon on the water.
