Short Creek Opening Celebration, Music, BBQ

Come join your friends and Yacht Club Family for some live Music and a Social BBQ at Gossip Hall following the opening at Short Creek.  Live music will start at 4:30 and continue until 7:30.  We invite you all to BBQ or to bring your dinner to Gossip hall and enjoy our first outdoor event of the year.  We will have plenty of extra tables spaced out to afford social distancing  on the dock.   Music by Ms. Kitty and TomCat.

Cost $10/person

Due to COVID we are avoiding any type of potluck or catered meal.  It is likely our first indoor party will be the Commodores Ball in August.

This year we are going to change our events for Opening Day a little bit.  We are going to have our "Salute to the Commodore" event on Opening Day instead of our traditional day, the 4th of July. With so many activities on the 4th, it was quite busy, therefore, we are moving it to Opening Day at Short Creek. Below please find the timeline for Opening Day's "Salute to the Commodore"

1:30 Commodore leaves LGYC to anchor out

2:00 members depart LGYC and line up along south shore, directly across from the club. We will monitor Channel 68 as we line up.

2:30 Parade around Short Creek and Salute the Commodore; raft-up afterwards as you wish

4:30-7:30 Live Music at Gossip Hall. 

Our Entertainment Chair, Boyce Ross, asked me to remind everyone that Members can bring, grill or prepare your own dinners and enjoy the music.
