Fellow LGYC members,
Hello, I am re-coordinating a Fall Color Cruise for club members who want to go cruising on the river to take in the beautiful fall colors as the trees change, We will now be cruising the weekend of October 30th so that we can get into Joe Wheeler. Most of us cruisers will depart Thursday, Oct. 28th or Friday, Oct. 29th and return Sunday, the 31st.
This year the plan is to cruise downriver to Turtle Point Yacht Club. It is a beautiful location with a top notch marina. Turtle Point has graciously offered to host us at their club and have room for several vessel. They also offered to arrange an excellent dinner at their Club restaurant on Saturday evening. More to come as we begin to get a feeling on how many folks will be going on this cruise.
Please let me know if you plan to participate and your tentative itinerary. As we get closer to the Fall Color Cruise weekend, I will try to coordinate the departures, locking through, arrivals, and Friday's dinner.
Also I am still looking for boats to take 50 high school students and chaperones that are part of the Marshal County Future Leaders Program for a cruise on 20 October and volunteers to take Veterans on the Cruise 0n 7 November. The Brew and Boo Costume Party will now be on the 23rd. Boyce will send out the invite for that.
