UPDATE--Short Creek Opening/Commodore Salute/Potluck

Saturday is shaping up to be a very busy day,  Dave and Jacque (Entertainment) have added a Labor Day planning meeting (11:00 am approx.) after the Board of Governors meeting in the clubhouse.  They would also invite everyone who returns to LGYC after the salute and Short Creek Opening to participate in a Potluck dinner at 6:00pm.

Traditionally, the club has rafted together in Short Creek and enjoyed finger food and drinks as well as making offerings to the "water gods".   So after the salute to the Commodore we will have an anchor boat identified for the raft-up for those who want to participate.

11:00 Labor Day Planning; Clubhouse; Following Board of Governors.

1:00  Captains Meeting for all Captains participating in the Salute and raft-up at Gossip hall. All radio traffic will be conducted on channel 68 and Fleet Captain  Boyce Ross will coordinate all boat movements during this event.

1:15 PM - Commodore's boat departs to anchor in Short Creek

2:00 PM - Participant's depart LGYC and line up along the shoreline to the right of Short Creek

2:30 PM - Parade around the Commodore's boat begins in Short Creek. Afterwards those that want to remain in Short Creek and raft out are free to do so.

6:00 Potluck in the Clubhouse.  BYOB.  Draft beer in the Clubhouse provided by the LGYC Beer Club available with a donation per pour.
