I received this update from Steve Morton Today. Let me know if you want to attend one or both days and if you want me to play golf.
1st, the price for Saturday/Saturday night will be $125.00. Would hope that the folks that drive down would be able to come out for the day and then have dinner would welcome those that want to do that. The Dinner menu at this point includes house salad, Filet Medallions with Bourbon Pepercorn Sauce, Bacon wrapped Asparagus and choice of potatoes, and choice of desert. We plan to have wine at the tables and bar afterwards around the pool, along with three-piece band/DJ. Knowing there is some football going on will allow for TV’s at Bar near pool and on quarter deck.
2nd, as for folks coming earlier, we have activities available, including pickle ball which we are likely staging in afternoon. Should anyone want to play golf they can do that in the afternoon, but will need to schedule and I understand the costs will be $115 per person. Probably best that anyone wanting to play golf email me directly and I will connect with the golf pro or put them together.
A local hotel that I could personally recommend, downtown Florence, is the Stricklin. https://www.thestricklin.com Of course there is also the Marriot Shoals which is an outstanding property with a spa.
Attached is the TPYC Venue! Turtle Point 70s weekend.pdf TPYC is going to be ready for us Friday through Sunday. Those who golf should bring their clubs! Venue and cost attached. As Fleet Captain I need you to email me the following:
Be aware that because the Wilson Dam has had a wing wall fail, Barge traffic is backed up even at Wheeler. Currently at Wilson REC traffic is locking at night ONLY, if your going to Florence on Monday.
Please let me know your plans and we can group boats together. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
