The Antique and Classic boat show is rapidly approaching and will take place the first weekend of June.   We are having a planning meeting and need volunteers to help make the event a success.  The last time it took place we had a number of great parties with our visitors and had over 500 community visitors to the club on Saturday when we were open to the public.

While the big items like Catering, Band and Food Trucks are set there are many smaller details that need some help. Please come to the meeting to learn more about it and to offer your assistance.  Below is a short description of the event.

The Dixieland Chapter Antique and Classic Boat Society ACBS is bringing its show to LGYC.  We will have events for LGYC members and guests plus the ACBS members on Friday and Saturday and will have a public show on Saturday June 5 from 10-4.  We expect over 20 vessels to be on display including several from LGYC Members.

Below is the announcement that went out to members that will be bringing boats.

LGYC is a super, super venue second to none at a world renowned lake. You will love it. There's going to be cruises, a boat parade, a general boat restoration seminar/Q&A conducted by Mr. Lance Wilson, lunch at the new Brew Pub located at the brand new Guntersville City Harbor, a public viewing day, various categories of boat awards, a catered dinner, live music to dance to, much smoozing boat talk and lots of other good boat type things happening. Awards will not be judged to ACBS standards. It's going to be a huge party and the LGYC folks are going all-out to help us make things perfect for you and a boat show to be talked about for years to come.

Thanks for your help,

Chuck Wills and Michael Kirkpatrick
